So here I was on a Sunday night with my mates, sitting down and reminiscing the good old times at coffee-club along orchard road. Joining me was Val with his swaggy looking hairstyle and Jiron, a nutty creative writer. During our conversation, Val suggested that we do shopping. I was hesitant to do any shopping since I spent quite a huge sum of money on football betting and lost most of it. I was utterly disappointed with myself as I had very little cash in my bank account. I jokingly told the boys : “ Looking at my bank account, the girls wont be coming after me; more like the loan-sharks”.
After much persuasion from the two lads, I joined the boys for an interesting night shopping at Far East. My eyes opened to the plethora of nice looking shirts that were on display. I looked in awe at some of the designs and immediately imagined myself as a bolly-wood actor with his knight in shining armour, dancing with his beautiful princess.
As a result of poor financial planning on my part, I had to settle for cheaper, but quality designs. Val took great effort finding me one that suited me. I tried on a couple and finally settled for one that even the young beautiful looking shopkeeper fell for me (just kidding).
I bought $XXX worth of clothes. That shopping experience was indeed a worthy investment for me as I began to appreciate fashion to a greater context. I also realised that one needs to have a good sense of fashion if he wants to attract the best looking girls.( but sometimes beggars cant be choosers).
My sincere heartfelt thanks go to Jiron and Val for their wonderful efforts spent to give me the best shopping experience. I have got heaps of compliments from most of my Australian friends with my good sense of fashion. When they ask me what the secret behind wearing such fashionable outfits are, I would proudly mention the “Jiron-Val” Partners in Crime.
Take Care man.

Going out with Val, to shop for clothes really opened my eyes to the possiblities of what I could do with clothes that never, even in my dreams would pick it up. I remember taking up the opportunity to go out with Val , walking to the location and telling him what kind of style I wanted. And immediately in his mind , he knew what I was going for. Actually at this point i know roughly what i would want but val materalise it from my mind when he walked into the store , picked up something and asked me to try.
In Addition, the store assistants and even the boss knew him. So that ramp up the credibility of him being a social elite and a fashionista. Always the coolest bro i ever met , i went home not only with my mind expanded with new intimate knowledge about fashion but also a great fun time.
Will go out with this bro again. He’s the real deal.

We went for a shopping trip in the afternoon on Sat but before that we met up with Xav and his student at the bookstore. What I took away most from Val is he telling me to focus on my thing and not let other distractions in (“Be focused bro” – that’s what he’d say).
During the shopping trip we begin the makeover and I won’t lie while I felt a little strange wearing some of the things he had chosen, I told myself to do just what he says.
The outcome: I got opened by 2 hot girls the minute I walked out of the shopping mall. Initially I thought they were trying to hand me pamphlets-they were in, reality La Salle fashion students who have waited there since the noon to take pictures of fashionable cool for their magazines who wanted to interview me because I looked fashionably cool….this experience was extremely mind shattering!
